Classes and Activities

Cordova Recreation and Park District offers an assortment of fun, active and educational classes at a variety parks and facilities within our district. We offer classes for all ages in areas such as computers, art, sports, aquatics, fitness and wellness, dance and music. Our classes are listed by age groups and topics. To see a complete list of the current season’s classes and to register on-line please see the list below.

By Age

Preschool Programs : for children 1 to 5 years old
Youth Programs : for children 5 to 14 years old
Adult Programs : for anyone 14 and up
Adults 50+ : for adults over the age of 50

By Topic

Aquatics : Includes swims lessons and swim teams
Fitness and Wellness : includes dance, sports and exercise classes
Computers : includes all computer classes at the Riverview Community Center and the Cordova Senior Activities Center
Day Camps : Winter, Spring and Summer camps for children and teens 5-17 years old
Sports : includes sports leagues and sport classes

Registration

 

Pre-registration is Required for all Classes

Please note: Register early; pre-registration helps us track the number of participants in a class. If the minimum number of students is not met, there is the chance a class will be cancelled.

Refund Procedure

  • Cordova Recreation and Park District reserves the right to cancel, combine or divide classes; change time, date or place of classes; instructor; or make other changes necessary.
  • Failure to attend a class or “no shows” will not be granted a refund. Refunds are only eligible if received a minimum of 48 hours prior to the first class, unless otherwise noted.
  • If you sign up for a class and are unsatisfied, notify CRPD within 24 hours of the class and we will issue you a full refund. If the class falls on a Friday or weekend, contact us by the following Monday either in person or via phone. You can call (916) 362-1841 or (916) 635-8977.
  • If CRPD cancels a class due to low enrollment, a full refund is issued. Sign-up early to help avoid cancellations.

To meet the wants of our diverse community members, we are looking to expand our youth and adult programming at the Cordova Community Center, Riverview Community Center and a variety of our parks and schools with the following programs

  • Pilates for Adults
  • Gymnastics for Youth
  • Arts and Crafts for all ages
  • Cooking Class for youth and adults
  • Tap Dance for youth and adults
  • Salsa Dancing
