Friends of Cordova Parks, Inc

The Friends of Cordova, Inc, a non-profit partner for the District, is a public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. Its mission is to promote and support recreation activities, park improvements, facility uses, and cultural well-being of the community. The Friends of Cordova Parks, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization that promotes and supports recreation activities, park improvements, facility use and the cultural well-being of the community within the boundaries of the Cordova Recreation and Park District.

The goal to raise funds to support the CRPD community, its parks and programs by funding the Children’s Funding Assistance scholarship program is accomplished by supporting children and families in need of short term assistance allowing children access to classes and programs which they would not be able to afford without full and partial scholarships.

Friends of Cordova wants to raise awareness and funds for the Hagan Park Community Pool complex. Currently the 3 pool complex has an empty diving pool and the other 2 pools, training for young children and competition pool for swimmers are losing significant amounts of water along with heat and chemicals. You can help by participating in our upcoming fundraising events as a volunteer or guest, making a donation or just helping us get the word out to the community. The Friends of Cordova Board members hold annual memberships that end each December 31.

Hagan Park Petting Barn

Set at the back of Hagan Community Park, the barn was originally preserved in 1972 by the Rancho Cordova Rotary. Today our Little Red Barn is home to a donkey, goat, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese and a turkey. CRPD is seeking experienced volunteers to help provide care and cleaning for the animals. For information on programs and/or to volunteer in the barn contact Angie Lipanovich at This email address is being protected from spambots.
