What

The PMRID Oversight Committee is made up of residents who want to understand exactly how their tax dollars are being spent on parks. PMRID is an “assessment district”. When voters approved a special tax in 2006, they also asked that an Oversight Committee of taxpayers be formed. Members of this Committee review spending and share ideas on how to make parks better. There are 5 spots on the Oversight Committee. Residents are chosen to represent their communities: Gold River, Rancho Cordova, Larchmont/Riviera East, and Rosemont.

Why

It is important that the public hold CRPD accountable for how it spends money. What better way than to get involved? The people who use parks and care about their community can help by serving on this Committee.

How

All you have to do is apply! There are opportunities to join throughout the year. The Committee meets every few months, and the public is welcome to attend.
