Sponsorship Beings, Online Class! (8:00AM)
Learn how to get your team or organization sponsored. This is a great way to raise money for your group. There are current sponsorships available for sports, art, dance, film, music, health, environment, religious, education and many other organizations. With this new online course, you will learn how to locate sponsorships, how to develop an effective proposal package, use publicity tools and much more. A sponsorship is an agreement between an event organizer and a business or organization where they give money or products, in exchange for rights to associate their company name with a specific event. Sponsorship is a huge industry and is generally easier than grants writing.
According to the World Sponsorship Monitor, the total spending on sponsorships is expected to be around $125 billion by 2015. Currently Adidas sponsors $775 million, Coca Cola is at $772 million, Sprint spends $613 million, each year. This new online course has modules, case studies, an example of a proposal and media kit, links and other resources. The course can be completed at home, on your computer, in about a month.
